Natural Kanab Goldenstone Sandstone Free Form from Utah, USA.

This is natural sandstone formed 180 to 220 million years ago by wind and water as part of the geological formation "Shinarump Conglomerate".  The colors and designs were induced by a mineral spring containing iron oxides. 

Kanab Goldenstone is found near Kanab, Utah on the Arizona side of the border.  Unique for its dark iron banding and landscape like designs it has not been altered in any way except to cut into slabs and shapes.  Over the years this material has become more scarce as supply dwindles and property owners deny access.
